In an ideal world, we'd all be in regular contact with one another, thru letters, emails, phone calls and exchanges of pictures. In reality, though, most of us find this hard to do, especially with many individuals. So, in order to reach out to everyone (without the redundancy or the guilt of overlooking someone), I offer this photo journal, where you may share in our lives at your leisure. Think of starting your own blog, so we can see what you are up to as well. Until next time, malika

Outside the classroom was the kids' gingerbread boy/girl bulletin board. It was always interesting to see how each child chose to decorate their seasonal projects.

We went to Grift's unit Christmas party. Here are the children with "Santa Claus." I say it that way because we have already explained to Sarah and Tyree that Santa is just pretend.

A close up of Grift's birthday cake. You can't really tell how big it is, but it's massive. The pan below it is a large Pizza pan.

The kids were extremely excited to make it to the 25th. Here they are in front of our little table tree before they started opening their presents. Believe it or not, most of them were sent over from our relatives. I ran out of room as the boxes were coming in the mail and I had to just start stacking them up in the back and against the wall.

Sarah made mommy and daddy this beautiful calendar at school and gave it to us for Christmas.

The kids had to stop opening presents for a couple of hours so we could all go to the Rawling's little Christmas get-together. Here are Mary and Steve.

Books! Books! Books! They love books. I think Grandpa John got them these.

After the kids got done with their presents our living room looked like it had been wiped out by a tsunami.
